PAYG Microblading Course Overview
Time Allowed to Complete the Course
You’ll have up to 12 months to complete all online modules, practical training, and five required case studies. The PAYG option is ideal for students who want to complete the training in their own time and budget.
Self-paced online theory
Study the 40-hour theory element online at your own pace through guided modules covering microblading techniques, skin knowledge, health and safety, and client consultation. Flexible access allows you to fit your learning around work, family, or other commitments.
Practical Training
You’ll complete 14 hours of practical training, including a one-to-one, face-to-face session with your tutor, supported by live online sessions to consolidate techniques and build confidence.
Practical training can take place in your own clinic, salon, or professional treatment room, where suitable. Your tutor will travel to your location anywhere in the UK at no additional cost.
If training at your own premises is not suitable, we also offer access to approved training centres across the UK, located in major towns and cities, from Scotland through to England. This ensures all students receive professional, compliant training regardless of location.

No. You do not need a separate Anatomy & Physiology qualification before enrolling.
All essential anatomy and skin-related knowledge required for safe microblading practice is covered within the course modules.
Where does the practical training take place?
Your practical training is delivered one-to-one, either in your own clinic, salon, or professional treatment room where suitable, or at one of our approved training centres.
If training takes place at your own premises, your tutor will travel to you anywhere in the UK at no additional cost. If this is not suitable, we offer access to UK-wide training centres located across major towns and cities, across the UK, from Scotland through to England.
This flexible approach ensures you receive personalised, professional training in an appropriate clinical environment, regardless of your location.
How long do I have to complete the Pay-As-You-Go course?
You’ll have up to 12 months to complete all 12 modules of the course.
The Pay-As-You-Go structure allows you to progress at your own pace by purchasing and completing modules one at a time. Some students move through the training quickly, while others prefer a slower, more flexible approach to fit around work or family commitments.
Do I get a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes. Once all 12 modules have been successfully completed, you’ll be awarded the same ABT-accredited Microblading certificate as our Fast Track students.
This certification allows you to obtain insurance and begin offering microblading treatments to paying clients, subject to insurer requirements.
